Description |
The master's degree (1 and 2) "Cultural and technical heritage" is an original university course of excellence both in terms of its content and its pedagogy. It provides training in the history and methods of conservation, restoration and enhancement of a very wide range of objects (including artistic objects) which, due to their technical specificities, deserve attention.
The training combines theoretical and practical lessons. It includes “project-based” teaching (creation of an exhibition guide catalogue; organization of a visit to a heritage site). The courses are entrusted to teacher-researchers from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, curators (museums, archives, libraries) and professionals in the field of culture and heritage.
The master's degree is backed by a rich network of partners (Museum of Arts and Crafts, Museum of Decorative Arts, Musée du quai Branly, Musée de la Marine, Library of the National School of Bridges and Roads) allowing master 1 students to carry out their research in consultation with curators and allow professional Master 2 students to do internships. |
