This master's degree in the Digital and Public Humanities provides a cross-disciplinary curriculum that integrates humanities and IT disciplines and promotes and supports the dissemination of cultural knowledge. It inspires new perspectives and approaches to planning, analysing and interpreting textual, visual and multimedia content.
Students acquire skills in:
creating, managing, enhancing and disseminating cultural contents
digital publishing
creating and building multimedia cultural resources
web communication of humanities for the general public
The areas of study include: computer science, linguistics and literature, history, law, arts, manuscript and archival studies. Lectures are combined with practical laboratory activities in collaboration with the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities. The course also includes a 150-hour internship to be completed in a company or external organisation/institution in Italy or abroad. |
